Roswell Eye Clinic was established in 1979 by Dr. Billy Moscow. Dr. Sharon Berger joined the practice in 1980 and Dr. Scott Moscow joined the practice in 2013.

For over 35 years Roswell Eye Clinic has offered a full range of comprehensive family eye care, enjoying a personal relationship with our patients. We have often had generations of one family come in for their eye exams; mother, father, children, grandchildren and grandparents!

What We Offer

Dr. Billy Moscow specializes in contact lenses for patients with severe vision problems such as kerataconus, dry eyes, bifocal prescriptions and astigmatism. He is certified to treat eye diseases such as eye infections (red eyes), foreign material in the eyes, glaucoma, and co-management of LASIK and cataract surgery patients. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association.

Dr. Sharon Berger specializes in vision therapy and visual rehabilitation for children and adults. She is experienced in working with patients with special needs, autism and visual difficulties due to head trauma. Dr. Berger is a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, a member of The Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, The American Optometric Association and The Georgia Optometric Association.

Dr Berger

Dr. Sharon Berger has been in private practice at Roswell Eye Clinic since 1980. She is the owner of a 6 doctors practice that includes Dr. William Moscow (husband), Dr. Scott Moscow (son) and Dr. Michelle Moscow (daughter).

Dr. Berger is a Member of the American Optometric Association, Georgia Optometric Association, Optometric Extension Program and College of Optometrist in Vision Development (COVD). She received her fellowship in COVD in 1983.

She served as the first chairperson for Infant and Children's Vision Committee of Georgia (2004-2005), State Director for COVD (approximately 15 years) and a Trustee for Southern College of Optometry (2008-2017). Additionally, she has served on the advisory boards for the Porter School and Chrysalis School, in Roswell, Georgia. She is currently serving as a Trustee for the Georgia Optometric Association.

Dr. Berger has given various lectures to parents, teachers, counselors, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapists, Speech Pathologists, support groups and rehabilitation centers. She regularly lecturers on Vision Advance Practice at Brenau University's Occupational Therapy program.

Dr. Berger has authored a chapter in Vision and Sensory Integration and published an article on vision and learning for Kids Enabled Magazine. Additionally, she has been interviewed for various newspaper articles regarding vision therapy in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and for local television stories on vision. Dr. Berger is also featured in a Web MD video about vision therapy and amblyopia.

In her spare time, Dr. Berger volunteers with Special Olympics, Lions Club, Vision USA, Infant See and Lighthouse for the Blind.

Dr. William "Billy" Moscow graduated University of Georgia in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a Major in Biological Science. He graduated Southern College of Optometry in 1978 with a Doctorate in Optometry.

Dr. Moscow founded the Roswell Eye Clinic in 1979. He has been committed to providing the highest quality eye care to adults and children for over 30 years. He specializes in the therapeutic treatment of eye diseases, such as Dry Eyes, Glaucoma, Cataracts, Macular Degeneration, Red Eyes and Foreign Bodies.

Dr. Moscow also co-manages LASIK, Cataract and Retinal surgeries. In addition to eye disease, Dr. Billy Moscow is an expert in prescribing specialty contact lenses for patients with dry eyes, kerataconus, astigmatism, and bifoca (presbyopia). He is one of the premier fitters of Synergeyes hybrid contact lenses. Roswell Eye Clinic is one of the few clinics in the United States that is currently fitting Synergeyes Duette multifocal lenses.

Since 1979, Dr. Moscow has been a continuous member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association.

His hobbies and community service include receiving his Private Airplane Pilot's license in 1967. He has also obtained his instrument rating and commercial Helicopter Pilot's License. Through aviation, he actively volunteers with Angel Flight which provides free transportation for needy patients and performs other missions of community service. He also volunteers for the American Cancer Society, Fulton County Police Department and many other charitable organizations.

Dr. Michelle Moscow

Dr. Michelle Moscow is the daughter of Dr. Sharon Berger and Dr. Billy Moscow. Growing up, she worked as a technician and vision therapist at Roswell Eye Clinic. While attending Roswell High School and The University of Alabama, she was involved in a variety of mentorship programs for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 2013, she graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama.

Dr. Michelle Moscow continued her studies at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Her retinal, corneal, cataract, and glaucoma eye disease externship training was conducted at Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, Georgia. Her primary care and contact lens externship training was conducted at Family Vision Care in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She completed her training at The Eye Center in Memphis, Tennessee where she became skilled in the treatment and management of ocular diseases, refractive surgery co-management, dry eye disease, vision therapy, and pediatrics.

Dr. Michelle Moscow was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society in 2015. She was Vice President and co-founder of Gamma Omicron, a club promoting women leaders in optometry. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association.

In May of 2017, she graduated cum laude with a Doctorate of Optometry. Dr. Michelle Moscow provides eye care for all age groups. Her special areas of interest include the treatment of strabismus, amblyopia, and developmental eye disorders.

In 2007, Dr. Scott Moscow was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. His pediatric, vision therapy and contact lens externship training was conducted at the Draisin Vision Group in Charleston, SC. His retinal, corneal and glaucoma eye disease externship training was conducted at Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, GA. He has published articles on Vision and Motor Development, Congenital Rubella and Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy.

After receiving his Private Helicopter Pilot's License in 2007, he has actively volunteered with Angel Flight which provides free transportation for needy patients and performs other missions of community service. Dr. Scott Moscow is also an active volunteer pilot for the Fulton County Police Department.

In 2013, he went on a VOSH Optometric Services to Humanity mission trip to Columbia, South America where he provided dilated eye examinations and glasses to over 1,000 patients in need. His additional philanthropic activities include volunteering with the Opening Eyes program of the Special Olympics. As an active member of the Roswell Rotary, he is involved with trips to Honduras to provide eye examinations and glasses to people who otherwise would not have eye care

Dr. Chado was born and raised in Frederick, Maryland. He performed his undergraduate studies at University of Pittsburgh and received his doctorate of optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Chado did clinical externships with emphasis in ocular disease at Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, GA, Swagel Wootton Hiatt Eye Center in Mesa, AZ, and The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry.

Dr. Chado has received extensive clinical training in all areas of optometry including primary care, pediatrics, ocular emergencies, red eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, retinal disease, pre/post operative care of surgical patients, LASIK/refractive surgery evaluations, and specialty contact lens fits including medically necessary contact lenses. Dr. Chado speaks both english and Spanish and is happy to see Spanish speaking patients as well as patients of all ages.

Dr. Chado is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. Dr. Chado is also a provider for InfantSee, a national program which offers free eye exams to children in their first year of life in order to provide early detection of congenital problems which could be developmentally delaying or life threatening.

Dr Black

Dr. Derek Black grew up in nearby Dacula, GA with his parents and two brothers where he attended Dacula High School. Following High School Dr. Black attended Young Harris College in Young Harris, GA and then completed his undergraduate studies at The University of West Georgia. In 2008 he graduated Cum Laude and earned his Bachelors of Arts in Chemistry and Minor in Biology. Throughout college Dr. Black worked as an Optician where he developed his passion for eye care. In 2013, Dr. Black graduated from The Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where he earned his Doctorate of Optometry.

In 2010, Dr. Black earned the Health Professions Scholarship which allowed him the honor of serving in the US Army after graduating Optometry School. His retinal, corneal, diabetic and glaucoma eye disease externship training was conducted at the VA Hospital in Memphis, TN. His family practice training was conducted at Family Vision Care in Memphis, TN. Upon Graduating from Southern College of Optometry Dr. Black was commissioned as an officer with the rank of Captain into the US Army.

During his 3 years of Active Duty Service, Dr. Black held positions as Staff Optometrist, Director of Optometric Education, and Chief of Optometry at Ft Belvoir Community Hospital in Ft Belvoir, VA. For his exemplary performance, Dr. Black received the Joint Service Commendation Medal. Other Army decorations include: The National Defense Medal, The Army Service Medal, and The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Dr. Black is a member of the American Optometric Association and The Armed Forces Optometric Society. From 2014 to 2016, Dr. Black served as President of the National Capital Region Optometric Society in Washington DC.

We are one of only 25 practices fitting the new Synergeyes Duette multifocal contact lenses. We fit gas permeable hard lenses. We also clean and refinish these lenses in our office. We fit ALL brands of soft contact lenses including those for astigmatism, bifocal progressive lenses. We have contact lenses that are replaced daily, weekly, monthly and yearly . We work with specialty fits for patients who have kerataconus and dry eyes.

Gas permeable lenses require more time and expertise to fit properly. Roswell Eye Clinic has been fitting these lenses for over 30 years. Gas permeable lenses are available for astigmatism and bifocal prescriptions as well as being therapeutic for kerataconus.

Gas permeable lenses require more time and expertise to fit properly. Roswell Eye Clinic has been fitting these lenses for over 30 years. Gas permeable lenses are available for astigmatism and bifocal prescriptions as well as being therapeutic for kerataconus.

We are able to clean and refinish these lenses in our office.
